Is this a stamped or counted project?

When it says 14 aida count, what does that mean? is it large , small etc. I purchased a cross stitch kit once and the squares were so small I couldnot do the project, hopefully this means large thankyou kathleen In answer to your question, 14 count is considered large. To really cover the background, I prefer to stitch with 3 strand when working on 14 count. But most instructions still seem to say 2 strand on 14 count (or 28 ct. over 2 threads)
